"Hi I'm Adolfo "Chojon", a fly fishing guide based in Cozumel; the "Bonefish Capital Of The World"

I have been fishing since the young age of 8 when I received my first rod as a birthday present from my uncle. I caught my first fish on my first day and have been hooked ever since. I obtained my first fly rod when I was 13 not long after I learnt to tie my own flies to suit flats I was fishing.

I am currently and have been since I started fishing, a member of the local fishing association which has seen me out on the flats in all sorts of weather conditions and locations which gave me the drive to catch more and bigger bonefish. So naturally I have built up an extensive knowledge of what is my backyard - Cozumel flats.

You'll find me in my spare time at the flats looking for more great fishing spots and chasing after those elusive bonefish".

"Hi my name is Adolfo Jr. I began fishing the flats of Cozumel back in the 1980 and guiding fly fishing trips in 1992, as I was introduced to the fly fishing art by my father Adolfo Sr. I have met a lot of nice people along the way and have guided some expert fly anglers including an ex world vice champion.

I believe that spotting is the paramount requisite of guiding but also being an astute tactician is a must in this day and age.
