Fishing Report for November 2010
The bite was steady and big for the Elusive one this past Saturday with 2, 3, and four lb Boenfish coming in the boat on crazy charlies. We couldn´t land one that I believe would have been 5 - 6 lbs but that is fishing. We spoted on some permit just outisde of the lagoon Monte Cristo, right at the ocean sice flats, no luck though. My fishing partners Saturday were John Micale and his son Ed from Houston. The weather is very hot so get out early and try to get in early as well. Fly Guide Adolfo "Chojon".
Fishing Report for November 2010
I had some clients coming into the flats, so I decided to do some scouting around to find more and better fishing areas in the far reaches of the 3rd lagoon. I'm sure glad I did, because I had a memorable day!. I picked up the #6 Snapping Shrimp flies and stuck with it all day. I only caught 14 bonefish for the day, but we did see several schools all the way in the middle of the flats, they were eating big time. My catch was anchored by a healthy 5 lb trophy bonefish (pictured left). These far reach areas produced several 3-4 lb Bonefish for my clients on 2 different trips. We used a variety Snapping Shrimp, Crazy Charlies, and Pink Puffs. Fly Guide Adolfo Jr.
